OVERVIEW
We have designed and validated a custom Hematologic Malignancy Predisposition Panel in collaboration with our colleagues at the Leukemia/Bone Marrow Transplant Program of BC (LBMT). This panel will assess both small nucleotide changes and copy number changes in 46 genes associated with an inherited predisposition to the development of a hematologic malignancy. It should be noted that, as the target population is different, the target space of this panel is distinct from that of the Pediatric Cancer Predisposition Panel. INDICATIONS
As this remains a grant funded initiative, only patients suspected by the study investigator (Dr Ryan Stubbins, LBMT) of being at risk will qualify for testing.
TEST ORDERING
The Hematologic Malignancy Predisposition Panel can only be ordered by physicians after consultation with the study investigator. The requisition for this testing will not be publicly available. Consultations and the study requisition can be obtained by contacting hemWGS@bccancer.bc.ca.
